Reagan Elementary, which opened in the Fall of 2008, was constructed specifically because all five elementary schools were at capacity and still growing.
Crowding issues at BHS have been addressed the past two years with the expansion and renovation of the Fine Arts wing, which added band, choir, art and meeting room spaces, and the Senior Academy - a 63,000 sq. ft. facility built for a potential capacity of 800 students, which opened last fall.
Based on demographic projections, BCSC does not anticipate the need for another elementary school for several years.
