At this point in time the master
schedule is a work in progress. While the master schedule is not finalized,
team placements are based on academic need, individual student data and
personnel. Students' team placements may or may not change between now and
registration. Regardless of his or her team placement, students' academic needs will be met
.
At the time of registration - July 26 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. - the master schedule will be complete. If parents have concerns regarding academic placement at that time, they are asked to contact their child's grade level counselor.
As far as high ability placements, incoming sixth graders know their placements due to testing and parent letters that were sent
home. For students returning to the middle schools, no changes would have
been made in or out of high ability classes without notifying parents. Any student
whose parents requested a high ability placement will need to meet preliminary requirements.
If the preliminary requirements are made, additional testing will be
conducted in July on Registration Day.
