There is no change in the pipeline for 2012-13, however, student iPads will work via a VDI virtual desktop, although it may not be as easy or convenient. There have been discussions about the next generation of devices moving towards something more like an iPad, but that replacement cycle is still three or more years off.
When/if that change takes place, we'll be sure to give parents and students plenty of advance notice!
