What is the reasoning behind going from the kindergarten full day alternating schedule to the everyday 1/2 days?

BCSC educators believe the full-day program is the best option for all students and every effort has been made to make this program affordable without the school corporation subsidizing the cost. When the state starts fully funding full-day kindergarten, thus eliminating any fee to parents, BCSC will only offer that program. The half-day program allows students to have contact with a teacher everyday to reinforce basic skills in reading in mathematics.
