Is keyboarding replacing handwriting in the classroom?

No. Cursive handwriting is still being taught in the third grade, but for roughly half the time it used to consume. That time is now being spent teaching and developing keyboarding skills. Students at all grade levels are certainly using computers, but keyboarding as a skill is only being taught in the third grade.
