Why does Brownsburg wait so long to let new students know their school?

Most students know where they will go to school well in advance. However, as a growing district, a number of students enroll over the summer. It has been our practice to move students to balance class sizes rather than hire a teacher for a very small class at one building. For example, grade 5 at Eagle is VERY full right now, so if a student enrolls but lives in the Eagle attendance area, s/he will be placed at another school. During these difficult economic times, it is even more important to use our resources frugally.
