Who pays for ISTEP? If it is us, why do we test every year?
ISTEP+ is paid for by the state. The requirements for grade levels and subject areas tested both for ISTEP+, GQE, and end of course assessments are set, paid for and mandated by the state.

In an effort to improve communications, the BCSC has created this format to provide people with a place to get answers to questions and to address rumors and inaccuracies that sometimes circulate through the community.

We will not respond to questions that: attack groups or individuals, questions that are considered in poor taste, or any questions regarding specific individuals.
