BCSC purchases mulch each year and in 2011-2012 Parent Support Groups were asked if they could provide the human resources to assist the district in a campus-wide "PSG Workday", where mulch landscape materials and supplies were provided by BCSC. BCSC is very grateful that over 220 parents, students, patrons and staff provided approximately 700 hours of labor on the landscaping of each school.
Because of the severe drought this summer, work crews had no need to mow and instead used that time to mulch around campus.
