The pedestrian crossing at Hornaday and Sycamore Streets is the result of a request by an Ironwood resident who is visually impaired. As a citizen who walks a great deal to events, the grocery, etc., this individual was hampered by the lack of a crossing in that vicinity that drivers would recognize in order to cede the right of way.
BCSC and the Town of Brownsburg believe that many citizens will benefit from having a pedestrian crossing at that location.
