The 2012-2013 calendar has not yet been discussed, let alone determined. There are area schools that BCSC tries to align calendars with that are considering the "balanced" calendar, however, so it is likely it will come under consideration.
The "balanced" calendar seems to be gaining some popularity in other districts and allows for two week breaks at the end of each nine-week grading period - two weeks for Fall Break, Winter Break and Spring Break.
