Does the school fund athletics or is the athletic program grant-funded? If the school funds athletics, are there going to be cuts?

The athletic program is not grant-funded, but beyond some district support, it receives revenue from gate receipts, advertising and sponsorships. Every area in this school corporation has been affected by the past three years of budget reductions. Athletics has reduced expenses in 2011 by $150,000 and has also implemented a $50 participation fee for athletes. In addition, cuts have been made to programs and coaches.
