Why is there a BCSC bus traveling from Brownsburg to I-465 and Washington St. on weekday mornings?

The bus is one of two that transport Brownsburg students to the Sanders School, a special day program which serves students K- age 22 through West Central Joint Services. Students that attend Sanders School need a smaller, more structured environment to meet behavioral and emotional needs. Because of the needs and safety of the students, BCSC only transports 8 to 10 students on the bus, which is why it probably appears to be empty.

We also have one bus that services the blind/deaf schools; one that takes students back and forth (am and pm) to Area 31 classes on the Ben Davis campus; and one that delivers elementary students to McClelland Elementary in Wayne Township for special services. Whenever possible, we use the smaller buses to transport students to these schools.
